Our Curriculum

At Limewoods Federation, we aim to offer an ambitious and inspiring curriculum, which allows all members of our school community to flourish. Our curriculum has been designed with children at the heart of it, taking into account our local context. We aim to offer children rich and diverse experiences as they experience the taught curriculum and provide challenge and support to ensure all children have equal access to it. Our curriculum is constantly under review and identifies the knowledge and skills children will need to live in the modern world.

Mathematics at the Federation is taught through a Mastery approach, and our curriculum is informed by the NCETM and White Rose Maths schemes of work. Both schools in our Federation also work closely with the East Midlands East Maths Hub, who provide specialised support and curriculum expertise.

The curriculums for PSHE and RSE are informed by our use of the 'One Decision' programme. This is a kite-marked programme which supports the introduction of British values, Protected Characteristics and aims to ultimately improve personal development for every child. More information about the prgramme and how it is used can be found by clicking the link below. If you have any questions about PSHE or RSE, please do not hesistate to contact Mrs Charlotte Smith.
